In Catalonia there is a profession that is held with pride, it is to ring the bell of the bell tower of the town.
The one who rings the bell is called Campaner.
The grandparents of the family that owns the restaurant were born in a farmhouse in Cabra del Camp in Tarragona. As the grandfather was in charge of ringing the bell, the farmhouse was called Cal Campaner, and Jaume (the one who rang the bell) was called Jaume de Cal Campaner.
The family continues to use the name and wants to share it with the restaurant that we invite you to visit.
